Adarsh College Ghailarah-Jiwachpur[Madhepura], located at Ghailarah Jiwachpur Madhepura Bihar was established on Teacher’s Day 1985 by Late Dr. Yogendra Prasad Yadav of Jiwachpur with active cooperation of education lovers,social workers and farmers in the western rural portion of Madhepura district to make available higher education to weaker section of society especially for women.

It is permanently affliated by Government of Bihar under B.N.Mandal University, Laloo Nagar Madhepura (Bihar) in all subjects of the faculties of Science,Arts and Commerce.

This college is managed by seven membered governing body consisting of Prof.Shyamal Kishore Yadav as President and Er.Pranav Prakash as Secretary. Dr. Upendra Prasad Yadav worked as Principal from 5/9/1985 till 31/3/2021 and presently Prof. Arun Kumar, Head of the department of Maithili is working as Principal of college.
